El Yunque Rainforest Rivers, Flora and Fauna
They say that he who gets up early, God helps him.
Pick-up will be between 5:30am to 6:00am at the place designated in your reservation. We will be driving about an hour east of Yunque towards the city of Fajardo.
Once we get to the parking lot, you will have the opportunity to go to the bathroom if you need it. We will be entering through private lands bordering the Fajardo River.
During our tour we will be walking through ground that is not paved, has roots, rocks and mud. The roads are steep, you must go up and down constantly throughout the journey.
We will climb rocks, it will get dirty and wet but you will get the best authentic experience within the Yunque rainforest.
They will be told about El Yunque, its flora and fauna while we will walk through bamboos, listen to native and endemic birds.
We will always be ensuring your safety. The walk could last around 45 minutes, everything will depend on the skills of the group, until reaching the Fajardo River.
In Charco Frio we will begin the activities; rope throws, jumps and natural tricks. You will be offered fruits in the river if you wish, and after we finish we will return the same way we entered.
In the parking lot there are facilities for changing wet clothes. We will head towards the Luquillo Kiosks where you can enjoy authentic local cuisine. And finally we will leave you at your accommodation on the way back.
Drive To Your Guide
We will meet in Fajardo, at a predetermined location. Once everyone in the group is present we will leave for our destination, it will take around 15 minutes.
Once we get to the parking lot, you will have the opportunity to go to the bathroom if necessary. We will be entering through private lands bordering the Fajardo River.
During our tour we will be walking through ground that is not paved, has roots, rocks and mud. The paths are steep and must be climbed and descended for certain activities.
We climb rocks so it will get dirty and wet, but you will have the best authentic experience in the Yunque rainforest.
They will be told about the anvil, its flora and fauna while we will walk through bamboos, listen to native and endemic birds. We will always be ensuring your safety.
The walk could last around 45 minutes, everything will depend on the skills of the group, until we reach the part of the Fajardo River called Charco Frio where we can do activities such as: rope throwing, jumping and natural waterfalls.
After we finish we will return the same way we entered. There are facilities in the parking lot to change out of wet clothes.
